Their work highlights the value of music in improving mental and physical wellbeing, fostering social engagement, and unlocking diverse career pathways.
MENTORSHIP & INDUSTRY PATHWAYS
The Ed Sheeran Foundation partners with schools and grassroots organisations across the UK to improve music education opportunities for young people. Through these collaborations, we support vital community programs that provide access to music, mentorship, and career pathways for the next generation communities. Their mission is to create a sustainable future for music and culture in the region while providing meaningful employment and volunteering pathways for young people from all backgrounds.
CANVVS is supporting two of the foundations partners, Brighten the Corners and Red Tape Sheffield.

BRIGHTEN THE CORNERS
Brighten The Corners is a not-for-profit organisation set up by the team at Out Loud Music CIC. Operating three full-time venues and hosting the annual town centre festival in Ipswich, Suffolk, they also promote gigs featuring independent and emerging artists.
Beyond live events, Brighten The Corners offers training and volunteering projects for young people interested in gaining event production experience, with over 80 active volunteers. Through diverse programs in music, event production, media, and the arts, they amplify the voices of marginalised

RED TAPE
At Red Tape, the belief is simple: every child deserves access to the best music education, no matter their background. Their programs are designed to break down barriers to music learning, ensuring that race, gender, location, income level, special educational needs, or care status are never obstacles to creative opportunity. By providing inclusive, high-quality training, Red Tape empowers young people to explore and excel in music while fostering a culture of equality and creativity.
